Chapter 8 summary

In this chapter, we dealt with the concept of security and ACL lists. We went over the uses and types, while calling back to a previous chapter in the form of Wildcard masks. We also discuss the length of the ACLs, including how to extend them, we also used the idea of port filtering to futher demonstrate how to apply security to the system. The last part is deicated to discussion functionality

The labs helped to reconfirm this and use them in a pratical matter

Chapter 7 recap

In this chapter we discussed Enterprise Wan networks and how they are connected. As such, we looked at Encapsulation and the different types of protocol that went with it. Lastly, we made a connection with a new term called frame relay.

Chapter 6

In the chapter 6 lessons, we learned about the link state protocols. These protocols were connected to the OSPF (a simlar protocol to RIP) by the style of how they share the imformation about the available links. This led into the next lesson about how to set one up in a local area, and demonstrating the lesson on wildcard masks. Lastly, we had the lessons on how to set up a defaultroute. The labs revolved around much of the same material.

Chapter 5 recap

This chapter gave us a look into routing protocols. It helped to retrain the reader into how it is used and what some of the different levels are. The labs followed mostly the same pattern

Chapter 4

In this, we reviewed the basis of subnetting, routing, and the various classes of IP addresses. But in a way, we also improved what we have learned, by looking at how we can dimish or epand those ip adresses. We also saw how they could be used in various settings in the field

The labs reflected this, the first dealing with basic connections. Calulations, seeting up a new network an expanding the old ones were in particular the usual  settings.

chapter 2

This particular lab was about structure, both physical and logical. It reviewed the use of toprography in terms of the enterprise, while reviewing he importance of router hardware. The lab went over the basics of the different commands to be used in router config.

ITN chapter 1

This chapter explained the enterprise and its basic forms. It gave a quick look into what a company uses the system for and what its capilities are. It also gave a recap into the TCP and UDP pf computers and what they relate to in terms of internet trafficing. It also reference telecomminucations.

Lab1: Esablished the ability to look at traffic flow through the packet tracer

Lab 2: Lookd at how variou router connect to one another
